BBI SOLUTIONS TO SHOWCASE ONGOING GROWTH AND INNOVATION AT MEDICA 2017

CARDIFF, UNITED KINGDOM - Nov 10, 2017 - Leading immunoassay development and manufacturing specialist BBI Solutions will showcase how its award-winning technology is shaping the future of diagnostics at the world’s largest medical trade fair, MEDICA, in November.

The trade show, which runs from November 13 to 16 in Dusseldorf, will provide a key platform for BBI Solutions to highlight its increasingly connected, comprehensive offer and outline how its highly innovative next-generation Morffi ™ signal enhancement technology is transforming the diagnostic landscape.

The Morffi signal enhancement technology is patent pending conjugate blocking technology that could provide a two-fold enhancement in the limit of detection in both plasma and urine compared to existing gold conjugation methods; enabling lateral flow immunoassays to compete with traditional lab-based testing platforms.

BBI Solutions will be joined by sister company, BBI Group’s mobile arm, Novarum, at MEDICA, where the businesses will jointly host a breakfast seminar to showcase their ground-breaking technology.

Novarum’s innovative mobile technology allows users to read and share results of lateral flow diagnostic tests using just a smartphone. The company’s smartphone readers enable tests to be accurately read from the point of care, at a patient’s home or in remote and challenging environments, with the results shared securely with healthcare professionals or specific end-users.

BBI Solutions and Novarum will collectively host the ‘technologies for next generation diagnostics’ breakfast seminar which will take place on Wednesday 15th November at Schnellenburg am Rhein Hotel, Düsseldorf.  The free breakfast seminar is not part of the official MEDICA programme, but will complement the conference theme and benefit attendees.

The delegation will also outline plans for BBI Group’s brand new global headquarters in Wales, UK which will open in 2018. The group is investing £14 million in the development as part of ambitious plans to create a world-class facility. The new site brings together three of its existing UK manufacturing locations into one.

Liam Taylor, managing director of BBI Solutions, said: “This is an incredibly exciting period of growth and innovation for the business. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to outline BBI Solutions’ enhanced capabilities and showcase the potential presented by our landmark Morffi technology.”

“The combined impact of BBI Solutions’ and Novarum’s technology offers an outstanding end-to-end solution that has the potential to revolutionise the lateral flow diagnostics landscape and we relish the chance to showcase this compelling proposition during the event.”

BBI Solutions will be based in the new Hall 3A at Stand 3AB02-1 at MEDICA.
